Below is a small selection of some of our favourite television commercials (TVC) that members of allformat have location managed over the years. Many of them are memorable and each one has a special story. So sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy some of the blood, sweat and tears and down right creativity from what the team has achieved.

Cherub-In2cricket
Good old Falkner park. It is a difficult location to film within as the access is appalling but sometimes it is worth it for the remarkable and beautiful pictures that can be captured.

APIA- MAX WALKER WISDOM
This commercial is just plain funny, it is directed by the prolific Dog boys who Monty said where an absolute hoot to work with and the results show the amount of fun they had in making these commercials. Monty also said Max Walker was a delight and was equally excited by the filming process, maybe he should list his home with allformat. There are many locations in this commercial, however, the most challenging location was replicating South Africa in Melbourne. Sounds tough, but Monty nailed it. See if you can tell where the South Africa part was filmed. We’d tell you but we can’t give away all of our secretes on this website.

SCHWEPPES-BALLOON BURST
If I told you that I haven’t shed a tear at how beautiful these commercials are I’d be lying. This commercial was filmed across Victoria, including an astonishingly beautiful redwood forest in the Otways. All the effects are in camera and the only post production effects were to remove some of the props designed to pop or explode the balloons. The camera is a special digital camera that captures motion at a rate of up to 9000 frames a second, most of the footage you would normally view is at 25 frames a second. It is this high frames rate that allows us to view water balloons like we have never seen them before. You get asked by directors at times to organise permission to film in some unusual places. In the case of this commercial we had to find and receive permission to film in a famous Melbourne Building Foyer and on top of this we had to negotiate to be able to have 50 people in black tie outfits to have a water fight. Sounds crazy? Yes. Did we make it happen? Yes, and the results are truly spectacular |

LEGGOS-Jimmy Barnes
Very opulent location, not Jimmy’s real house, but a large home in Brighton. Good fun and Jimmy was so very nice to have in the location, he warmly added himself to a family portriate.
